By default, all quote items are unselected unless you've made prior quote selections in the quote comparison view. Confirm your selections before saving the order as there is currently not an option to add items from a quote once an order is already created.
Once you have a quote you'd like use, you can convert that quote into a purchase order in just a few clicks:
From a request, select "Cut PO" on the quote you'd like to use
From a quote, select "Create Order" from the actions bar in the top right
This launch a sidebar with all of the items in the quote at the top to choose from. By default, all quote items are deselected. Select the items you would like to order or click the checkbox in the header to select all items. If you've made any shortlist selections in the , those items will be selected automatically.
Delivery dates are automatically calculated based on the supplier's quoted lead time:
The first 20 days of the quoted lead time are treated as business days
Beyond that, lead time is treated as calendar days
When an order is created from a quote, that order is automatically linked to the originating quote.
Quotes can also be linked to one or more existing orders using the "Link Order" button in the Actions bar. Search for existing orders to link to the quote. You can also link a quote (or a request) to an order while viewing an order.
Quotes have a one-to-many relationship with orders. Each order can only have one quote but quotes can be linked to many orders. This is particularly helpful if you have standing quotes or long-term agreements with suppliers. For these quotes, simply set an indefinite or far in the future expiration period.
