Comparing quotes

Making apples-to-apples comparisons across quotes with many items can be time consuming and challenging. To help buyers easily compare across several quotes and make selections, Silkline offers a quote comparison view.

Currently the quote comparison view is only available for quotes on the same request.

The data grid shows parts as rows, further divided into rows for each quantity quoted for that part. The columns show suppliers. If a supplier has provided multiple quotes, these are aggregated into a single column for that supplier.

Click on a cell in the quote comparison data grid to shortlist that selection. You can unselect a cell by simply clicking the selected cell.

In some cases, you may want to make multiple selections in a row. For example, if you want to order the same part from two different suppliers. To make multiple selections in the same row, click cells while holding down the Command key (on Mac) or Control key (on Windows).

Selections made in the quote comparison view are automatically saved and are persistent across sessions.

Once you've made your selections, toggle back to the card view to see a summary of the specific lines selected for each quote. To proceed with a quote, click the "Cut PO" button and the selected items are then pre-selected when converting the quote to an order.
